I started this blog as a way of sharing the inspiring ideas and images that come my way through my work as an interior designer. I’m constantly exposed to new artists, products and spaces that help to shape my perspective, and I’m thrilled to share them with you. Crystal Bulbs by Lee Broom

Lee Broom's installation of "Crystal Bulbs" at the Salone de Mobile has me dying for a space to use them. Each bulb is hand blown in North West England and inspired by his previous collection of upcycled decanter lights. The crystal globe is detachable and houses a warm white LED light inside. For me, they're the perfect mix of whimsy and elegance to add a little magic to a space.

Neutral Master Bedroom

I was recently asked to help revamp a Master Bedroom that needed a little lift. For every client, there's a different design process that works, and we used collage as a way to put this room together. We wanted a marriage of contemporary and traditional and a scheme that was neutral without being boring. We're just waiting on a couple more items to come in, but I have to say I'm really excited about this one.

Jason Koharik

In keeping with my mid-century inspired lighting obsession, I came across Collected by Jason Koharik when searching for some chic plug-in sconces for a client. With a keen eye for craftsmanship and a "nothing goes to waste" mentality, his designs are not only relevant, but inspiring. I hope to be able to use some of his pieces very soon!

The Perfect Lamp

With every project there always seems to be one thing that ends up being a real quest to find. It's usually a little thing--a side table or the right knob, and this was the case for a desk lamp in one of my recent projects. The client presented me with this image that they found with no source, and for the past week, I've been hunting (obsessively) to find where it came from. I love this lamp. Honestly, I adore this lamp, and thanks to Rewire I know where I can find it. Isn't it just gorgeous? It can even be hung as a wall sconce if needed. The only problem might be that I want to keep it for myself!

Made to Order

We were lucky enough to make several custom furniture pieces for one of our recent projects, and we installed this beautiful bed last week. The client liked French Wing Headboards for the way they wrapped around, and we used tall proportions and lilac velvet to give the bed an elegant but soft presence in the room. We still have a few finishing touches to put on the room, but I couldn't wait to share!
